Our mission is to bring our product to the world, through the cooperation and unity of family farmers, with quality and excellence.
To be recognized as a cooperative of excellence in both the Brazilian and international markets, producing and commercializing high-quality products, while continuing to expand in Brazil and abroad, with a commitment to continuous improvement, sustainable development, and the appreciation of family farming.
Coopginger – the Ginger Producers Cooperative of the Mountain Region of Espírito Santo – was founded through the union of family farmers with extensive experience in ginger cultivation and commercialization, serving both the domestic and export markets.
At its core, the cooperative carries the values of a people who work the land with dedication and passion, committed to quality and strictly following national and international standards in production, processing, and logistics.
The idea of coming together emerged from a journey of resilience and perseverance, when producers decided to transform the reality of the sector and strengthen the role of the farmer.
Today, Coopginger brings together families from the municipalities of Santa Leopoldina, Santa Maria de Jetibá, Santa Teresa, and Domingos Martins, forming a solid, organized structure committed to quality and fair pricing.
This union has shaped who we are today — where the dream of many producers begins to take life, form, and direction, driven by the passion for cultivating the land, planting, caring, and harvesting.
Our goal is to operate directly in both domestic and international ginger trade, as well as other crops, ensuring value for the producer and trust for the customer.
We work with passion, dedication, and care for the land, learning with every harvest and continuously innovating to exceed expectations.
Together we are stronger. Together we are Coopginger.
Coopginger is located in the Mountain Region of Espírito Santo — Brazil, across the municipalities of Santa Maria de Jetibá, Santa Leopoldina, Santa Teresa, and Domingos Martins.
Espírito Santo is currently the largest ginger producer in Brazil, and our region stands out not only for its agricultural production but also for its cultural identity.
Settled by people of Pomeranian and German origin, the region preserves traditions, family values, and a strong connection to the land.
With a mild climate, mountainous landscapes, and fertile soil, the territory offers ideal conditions for cultivating high-quality ginger.
Our production is carried out by small farmers and rural families who dedicate their lives to family agriculture, with discipline, care, and deep respect for the food they produce.
Coopginger continuously invests in technical improvement, constantly raising quality standards and customer satisfaction.

From Unity in the Field to Building the Future
The story of Coopginger was not born from a perfect plan. It was born from a real need — and the courage to face challenges together. It is a story shaped by time, difficult decisions, and trust built day by day. Nothing happened by chance. Every step forward came from collective effort and a deep conviction that the future of agriculture can only be sustained when built together.More than producing ginger, Coopginger exists to transform realities, strengthen families, and restore leadership to those who have always sustained the land with their own hands.
September 8, 2021. This date marks more than a formal registration. It marks the day producers decided to change their own destiny.Coopginger was born from the union of 33 producers from the mountain region of Espírito Santo. Experienced ginger farmers, yet isolated in a tough market, with little bargaining power and many uncertainties. Production was strong. The producer was vulnerable.
Amid difficult roads and limited visibility, a realization emerged: continuing alone was not sustainable. What was created there was not a bureaucratic project, but an act of collective resistance — stopping competition among themselves to start moving forward together.
Simple meetings, tough decisions, intense debates. There was no structure, but there was purpose. Cooperate instead of compete. Plan instead of selling out of urgency. This was the most risky moment — and also the most courageous.
The cooperative was built on the ground, through direct dialogue and mutual trust. It grew slowly, the right way — making mistakes, adjusting course, learning — without ever losing its essence.
With its foundation established, 2022 was a year of intense and steady building. Coopginger organized its processes, structured intake operations, standardized quality, and implemented consistent practices for traceability and documentation.
It also marked the beginning of preparation for international certifications, reinforcing a clear commitment to quality, responsibility, and transparency.
Ginger gained identity, origin, and standardization. And cooperative members came to understand that quality is also about management, care, and long-term vision.
In 2023, Coopginger reached a new level. It was the year when commercialization took on a professional structure. The product began to be presented to the market with consistency, reliability, and clear positioning.
The approach evolved. Communication matured. The cooperative started engaging with more demanding markets.
The first financial returns began to come in. Expectations turned into reality. Partnerships started to emerge not as bets, but as relationships built on trust.
The year of sustaining what was built. Maintaining standards, honoring commitments, and ensuring consistency are no longer exceptions — they become routine.
Growth intensifies. Long-term commercial partnerships are strengthened, and Coopginger establishes itself as a benchmark for quality.
Trust grows — from the market toward the cooperative and, above all, among cooperative members in the strength of the collective.
In 2025, Coopginger expands its focus to the international market. The journey brings new demands, challenges, and valuable learning experiences.
In a challenging market environment, the cooperative reinforces its commitment to its producers, adjusts its strategies, and moves forward responsibly.
More than accessing new markets, it learns how to position itself to remain — with balance, planning, and sustainability.
In 2026, Coopginger begins a new cycle with 196 active cooperative families.
The conversation evolves. It is no longer just about volume or price, but about purpose, positioning, and longevity.
Sustainability, social responsibility, traceability, and the appreciation of cooperative members are no longer differentiators — they become principles.
Here, human relationships come before numbers. Cooperative members, employees, suppliers, and customers form one single family.
It is not just about selling ginger. It is about building the future.
